Frequently Asked Questions
How are tree surgery jobs priced?
1
Tree work varies depending on height, access, and how complex the job is. Smaller pruning jobs are usually much cheaper than full removals.
As a rough guide:
• Small pruning or branch removal – in most cases less than £200
• Medium tree work – typically several hundred pounds
• Full tree removals – can range higher depending on size and location
We always provide a free quotation beforehand so you know the exact price before any work begins.
Do I need permission to remove a tree?
2
Most domestic trees do not require permission. However, some trees may be protected or located in conservation areas. If you’re unsure, we can advise you before any work begins.
Yes — Diamond Tree Surgery is fully insured with up to £5 million public liability cover and is Lantra certified. Your property and surrounding areas are protected, and an insurance certificate can be provided before work begins.

Are you insured?
Can we keep the firewood from the tree you cut?
4
Of course — you’re more than welcome to keep the wood if you’d like it.
We normally remove all branches and logs and leave the garden tidy, but we’re happy to leave the timber on site instead. We can either leave it in larger pieces or cut it into manageable lengths for a stove or fireplace.
If you’d like it cut to size, there may be a small extra charge depending on the time involved. Just let us know before the job and we’ll sort it for you.
